Giving Tuesday: Vuori x Good Sports

At Vuori, we strive to support our community and the various organizations that enable people to live happy and healthy lives. As a part of our brand promise of Investment in Happiness, we wanted to support an organization that was helping to bring happiness to those in need during this time of the year. This Giving Tuesday, we are proud to be supporting a national nonprofit organization, Good Sports, in one of the many ways they give to children in need.

For 17 years, Good Sports’ focus has been giving more children the opportunity to play by donating new sports equipment, footwear, and apparel to kids in need. With team sports at a minimum these days, we are excited to be supporting Good Sports’ main focus area right now, their Restore Play initiative. Restore Play aims to provide children with the equipment they need to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle while staying home or participating in physically distant programming. We are proud to be donating a portion of proceeds from our sales on Giving Tuesday that will provide equipment to these children.

Donations to the community from Good Sport during these difficult times have provided youth organizations with the opportunity to launch virtual programming, encouraging children to continue their participation in team practice after school or on the weekend. Physical education teachers across the country have been able to lead interactive online classes during remote learning to ensure children are getting their daily dose of physical activity. And donations have provided outdoor youth sports programs with the opportunity to safely return by limiting equipment sharing and encouraging physically distant play. Since launching the Restore Play initiative in April, Good Sports has donated over $5.4 million in equipment to encourage physical activity during these difficult times.

Since 2003, Good Sports has been able to donate more than $60 million in sports equipment, impacting over 8 million children from more than 4,200 youth programs across the country. Good Sports has been awarded a coveted 4-star rating seven consecutive times from Charity Navigator, the nation’s largest charity evaluator, for sound fiscal management, transparency and accountability; and is a Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance accredited charity.
